We want to thank everyone for your support during this “new way to teach Pilates” time and hope you are well. We miss seeing you and are looking forward to returning to the studio. That being said I would ask that you read the following carefully to make a determination as to whether or not now is the appropriate time for you to return to the studio. Please read this letter entirely, as it also has information for both group classes and personal training. I appreciate your time.

Herr Söder announced that certain businesses may reopen. Fitness Studios were listed as one of those businesses. After careful consideration I have decided to reopen Monday June 8th, albeit in a limited capacity, with many restrictions in effect for your safety and our own. As time goes on I will gradually relax some of those restrictions, not only according to guidelines currently in force, but most importantly yours and my comfort level.

This occurrence has impacted us all in some very profound ways and we are committed to continuing our professional teaching ethics. I want to facilitate a transition that moves at a pace we are all comfortable with as much as possible and as safely as possible.

For your protection and in your best interest, if you are defined as an individual that is at higher risk for severe illness, or reside with an individual with the following conditions, I am going to ask you to refrain from coming to the studio for a few more weeks.

The WHO is recommending anyone 65 or older remain home. However, they do not know our 65 and older clients, how strong they are and how body aware they are. To those that fall in this category, please do what feels best for you. If, you have had recent surgery, experience difficulty breathing in you daily life, we encourage you not to push it. WE ARE NOT GOING ANYWHERE! We would be happy to continue to provide online classes to you.

Please consider if you are in any of these higher risk groups:

People who live in a nursing home or long-term care facility

People of all ages with underlying medical conditions, particularly if not well controlled, including:

People with chronic lung disease or moderate to severe asthma

People who have serious heart conditions

People who are immunocompromised

Many conditions can cause a person to be immunocompromised, including cancer treatment, smoking, bone marrow or organ transplantation, immune deficiencies, poorly controlled HIV or AIDS, and prolonged use of corticosteroids and other immune weakening medications.

People with severe obesity (body mass index [BMI] of 40 or higher)

People with diabetes

People with chronic kidney disease undergoing dialysis

People with liver disease

Please check with your doctor if you are unsure if you should resume training in the studio.

In addition, if you are experiencing any of the following symptoms please do not come to a session:

Shortness of breath
Loss of smell or taste

If you have had contact with anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19, please do not book an appointment in the studio for 4 weeks after exposure.

Lastly, I want to urge you to only come to the studio if you are comfortable with doing so. Our goal at Performance Fit Pilates is to continue to offer you a personalized, pain free movement experience. We also want to assist you in finding balance, calm and mindfulness. We all have endured a great deal and we want to be part of restoring health and healing and most importantly peace of mind.

Here are the guidelines for how we will begin reopening Performance Fit Pilates:

We will be following all recommendations from the Bavarian government pertaining to masks and keeping appropriate distance.

We are asking each client to wash your hands with soap and water before and after your session vs. using hand sanitizer. We will also be washing our hands between each client.

There will be hand sanitizer available in the studio to use throughout your session.

We would also appreciate if you bring your own towel and water bottle. Please wear socks.

All surfaces will continually be sanitized between clients including doorknobs, desktops and any and all equipment and surfaces touched by human hands. We will work with open windows. We are ordering personal pilates loops for each person working on the equipment. Personal pilates loops are available to purchase at the studio.

We welcome you back with “air hug” open arms! To book a Solo session please reach out to me. I am available by email or 0911/ 66487258.

As you are booking classes, if you would rather not pay online with your credit card, that is not a problem. We can also provide our bank details for a money transfer.

If you have any ideas, concerns or comments please reach out to us.

Again, we thank you and appreciate your support during this time. You truly do not know how much it means to us.

All the best,
Hannah & Christian
